About

Experience shows

Exibit was formed in 1999 with a vision of becoming Western Australia's largest, independently-owned consumer exhibition company. The business was seeded through the acquisition of two of the State's major exhibition organisers that, between them, operated four home shows (including the Ideal Home Show), a women's life-style expo (EveryWoman Expo), an information technology event and a mining (MIENEX) expo. Over the next twelve months, these events were consolidated down to a core of three home shows, the EveryWoman Expo and mining and IT events. Two years later, the Careers Expo was added to the Exibit portfolio. This was followed by the addition of the Fremantle Boating Festival and the Bunbury Home Show.

In 2004, we staged the opening event of the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC): WA on Show. The event occupied the entire PCEC and showcased its facilities and infrastructure. The event featured exhibitions, demonstrations and presentations by organisations representing all aspects of the State and draw 80,000 visitors.

By 2013 we had realised our vision and, following an approach from a national exhibition company, we made the decision to divest our home show and EveryWoman Expo assets.

Since 2014, we have narrowed our range of activities down to two main areas: producing the Careers Expo and managing international touring exhibitions.

Careers Expo

The Careers Expo is Perth's most comprehensive, longest running event career, education and employment exhibition. The expo launched at the Fremantle Passenger Terminal. We acquired the event in 2002 and subsequently moved it to the Claremont Showgrounds in 2003. In 2005, the PCEC became the event's home.

Now approaching our 19th anniversary, 2019 is shaping up as another big year for Careers Expo and VET Expo. From 16-19 May 2019, WA’s only complete careers event will again bring together the broadest range of tertiary education, training and vocational organisations with students, their parents and others interested in improving their career prospects.

Alongside the usual array of all local and some interstate universities, private education institutions, professional organisations and employers, you’ll find an enlarged VET Expo area. This year it will feature representation by a wide range of vocational training and group training organisations.

International touring exhibitions

Exibit works with two of the largest international touring exhibition companies: Imagine Exhibitions out of the United States and SC Exhibitions from Germany. We act as the local exhibition manager supporting a promoter and coordinating the site-preparation, overseeing the build, operating and promoting the events. Our two recent projects were Titanic the Exhibition and Tutankhamun: His Tomb and His Treasures.

Titanic the Exhibition

Titanic the Exhibition is produced by Imagine Exhibitions and was hosted in Perth through a joint venture comprising TEG Events and the Van Egmond Group. The exhibition was staged at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre over a three-month period during the summer of 2015-16.

Exibit's role was to manage all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the event, provide daily reporting and supervise maintenance activities.

Tutankhamun: His Tomb and His Treasures

Tutankhamun: His Tomb and His Treasures is the jewel in the crown of SC Exhibitions - a division of Semmel Concerts Entertainment. The exhibition was brought to Perth by the Van Egmond Group and staged over a four-month period at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre during the spring and summer of 2016-17.

Our involvement included leading pre-arrival negotiations with key suppliers including the venue, freight companies, rigging and electrical contractors and the ticketing agency. We also assumed full responsibility for managing the operation of the event including staffing, maintenance, technical support and local marketing.
